University Libraries Create a Friends of Penn State Account |
|
Effective May 8, 2006, the Penn State University Libraries will move to WebAccess authentication for online Library services. All non-PSU Library users will need a Friends of Penn State account to access online library services such as My Library Account and online renewals.
Already registered with the Libraries as a Community Borrower? Key the number on the back of your PSU Library card into the Library Card Number field below, and your library record will automatically be updated with your new Friends of Penn State ID. You'll be able to log into My Library Account immediately after receiving your FPS ID.
Graduated or left the University? If you're a former Penn State student, faculty or staff member, you may register as a community borrower at a Library service desk, however you do not need to create a Friends of Penn State account. You may continue to use your University Access ID for online Library services and your Penn State ID+ card to borrow materials. Go to http://www.stayconnected.psu.edu/ for more information, and to change your Access password to a Friends of Penn State password.
If you're registered with the libraries and already have a Friends of Penn State account (any FPS account is valid, even if you didn't create it with the Libraries), then go to Add Friends of Penn State ID to My Library Record.
Not yet registered with the Libraries? You can create your Friends of Penn State account now by completing the form below (leave the Library Card Number field blank), but Pennsylvania residents still need to visit a Library service desk with proof of residency to register and receive a card. If you create your FPS account now, you'll need to update your library record with your FPS ID at a library service desk, or at Add Friends of Penn State ID to My Library Record after you've registered at a Library service desk.
Note: You must indicate acceptance of Libraries' policies to complete this form.
